DISCERNMENT RESULTS

On March 26th, 7 couples that are active in the Chicago community gathered to discuss and discern the future of the community. It was a very productive and prayerful afternoon led by Tom and Bonnie Edwalds, our current Finance Couple.

We discussed the goals and priorities of our community. All of our goals fall under two specific headings - Help Sustain Marriages and ...

We also discussed and discerned the leadership positions for our community for the next few years. The results of the discernment are:

Community Coordinating Couple - Ken and Cathy Crimaldi

CORE Coordinating Couple - George and Monica Ronczy

Weekend Coordinating Couple - Mike and MaryLou Maloni

Registration Coordinating Couple - Ray and Nancy Lacek

Supply Coordinating Couple - Saulo and Sally Knapp

Post Coordinating Couple - Dennis and Lydia Chojnacki

UPDATE

At the June CORE meeting Bob and Spring Green graciously offered to be our Prayer Coordinating Couple. We are very grateful to them!

We could still use some assistance with Publicity and pulling together the pieces that make up the Friday Night of a weekend.

If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact any of the coordinating couples.

COMMUNITY NEEDS

Our community needs you! Your ideas, your faith, your struggles, your happiness. If we all help out, then the load will not be too heavy for one or two to bear. Please contact Ray and Nancy, Ken and Cathy, or Dennis and Lydia to see if there is anything that you can help with. We have many needs, from simply praying for another couple to helping with the big stuff. Please, anything that you can give is a beautiful gift to us all!

· Our Community seriously needs your input. You will not be required to volunteer or commit to a particular role. What we truly need are couples that were touched by their Retrouvaille experience to contribute to a sharing of ideas and prayer.

· Please pray that we will all be open to God’s will for Retrouvaille in Chicago. Please pray for insights, wisdom, guidance, strength, courage, and patience for all of us blessed by this ministry.

Please look at the following document to see if there is any insight that you can give to our community regarding these roles and the tasks associated with them. If you think you may be interested in helping out with a particular role, please pray about it. If you think you may know someone else that would be perfect for a role, please pray for them to be open to the call of God.

Then, help the community to brainstorm, pray, connect with each other, and strengthen.

Please note that the descriptions in this document are suggestions from the International Board. They may be modified, adapted, and separated into specific tasks to fit the specific needs of the Chicago community.
